We will seek to deliver your first hamper promptly – usually it would arrive within 2 working days of placing your order, and certainly within 7 days at the most. Please note that deliveries outside of the British mainland, and in remote locations, may require an extra couple of days.
Tracking your delivery
Once your order is handed over to our couriers, your items will be delivered on a next day service.
You will be sent an email when your hamper is shipped, with details of the courier online tracking system so you can track your hamper through the delivery process. Alternatively you can log into your Diet Chef account and access the status of your order from there.
Delivery will take place during normal business hours on the indicated day of delivery. Your hamper could be delivered at any time of the day it is due, although UK Mail will usually attempt to give you an estimated shorter delivery window, via SMS or email.
Please note that it is not always possible for UK Mail to provide an estimate, and we cannot guarantee that estimates will be accurate at all times.
Receiving the your hamper
As part of our terms and conditions, customers agree that anyone at the delivery address is entitled to accept delivery of your hamper. Once the hamper has been delivered, it is your responsibility – but we will of course be very happy to replace any items that may have become damaged during transport.
If no one is around to receive your hamper, UK Mail will attempt to deliver up to three times. If all attempts fail, your hamper will be returned to us. In those circumstances we will give you a full refund, minus the cost of returning the hamper (typically around £10-£20).
If you are not able to be home for the delivery of your hamper, you can have it delivered to a different address – like your work address, a friend, or a relative.
If no one is available at the delivery address you have provided, the driver will use their discretion to decide if there is a safe place where the hamper can be left.
If you have a neighbour who could receive the hamper for you, or you have a preference, in terms of a safe place where the courier can leave the hamper (i.e. a sheltered patio or garden area), you can leave instructions to that effect when you place your order.
